Facts about Anhui

Anhui is located in the eastern part of China. It is an integral part of the most dynamic Yangtze River Delta, a region that has led the country in both economic prosperity and cultural refinement. It is about 570 km from south to north and 450 km from east to west, covering an area of 140.1 thousand square kilometers, about 1.45 percent of the total area of the country. At the end of 2024, the number of permanent residents in Anhui reached 61.23 million.
With the Yangtze River and the Huaihe River flowing through it, the province has easy access to the ocean. By high-speed railway, it only takes 1 hour from Hefei to Nanjing, capital city of Jiangsu Province, two hours to Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province, two and a half hours to Shanghai and four hours to Beijing. Please purchase train tickets from channels offered by railway operation company or its sales agency. At present, the following channels are offered:
（1）ticketing counters, in railway stations or in railway ticket agencies.

（4）ticket hotline. In areas where telephone booking service has been opened, passengers can book tickets on hotline and then pay at the designated place within the specified time.
（5）For railway lines where commuter cards can be used, passengers can apply for the card at the card selling outlets, and then check-in and take the train with the card.
